Committee, a local citizens’ lobby resisting Rite Aid.

and the New Hampshire Primary." Featured twenty international journalists for
four days of programming, February 8-12, 1996. Result of Delphi International
grant and Gilmore Fund for Excellence in Teaching.
- Moderator, forum on "Intolerance in Politics," featuring
Ken Coleman, Arnie Arnesen, Neal Kurk and Jack Falvey. Sponsored by Merrimack
County Democratic Committee and held at Simon Center, New England College,
January 31, 1996.
- Faculty adviser, Students Organized Against Rite-Aid (S.O.A.R.),
an ad hoc student group that formed in response to a “Democracy Teach-In” at
NEC. I advised the students on letter writing campaigns, petition gathering,
and peer education. The students successfully published an editorial in the
Concord Monitor and collected over 150 student signatures in opposition
to building a Rite Aid in the town of Henniker. Led several groups of
students to town meetings on Rite Aid, 1997.

Sustaining Grant Proposal for $10,000 Haymarket People’s Portfolio grant.
Authored letter of support that was included in successful grant application
